Clover Kiss Lore

Now showing, at sundown

Clover Kiss Cinema

Texas' finest six-seat cinema.

@cloverkisscinema.club

Auditorium

The Six Seats

All front row. The Book of Soyga forbids a seventh. Kickstarter once flagged the plan to install six more as a scam, which the theater called fair.

Screen (shows movies on both sides)

1

No incidents on record.

2

In poor condition. The guy responsible was fired.

3

Home to the sticky spill after the Goofy Movie marathon. Guests here had their organs inverted after the gas leak.

4

Gas leak victims, a Heimlich emergency, and the Wicker Man laugher. Carl keeps stealing it.

5

No incidents on record.

6

Haunted. Discounted whenever The Sixth Sense plays. Five seats are for the living.

  • Seat FNot one of the six. A raccoon family lives under it.
  • The Golden SeatA balcony with exactly one gold seat, installed courtesy of a mysterious benefactor. Sitting there reportedly grants ancient magical power. Jorge said so, then went on extended leave for destroying the city.
  • The PewsOnce installed so Baptists could repent after Footloose.
  • CapacitySix, or a full Rocky Horror cast if some sit on laps. Double capacity for 12 Angry Men requires hosting a guest in your lap.

Personnel, patrons and the unaccounted for

The Cast

Staff first, then the regulars, then the people who stopped coming for reasons.

Pop Crenshaw

Projectionist, concessions, ticket booth

Runs everything, mostly asleep. Memorized all prices in 1973. Chooses the lineup by whatever he feels like showing. Has not had a day off in six years, then took a long vacation. Costume designer for Zardoz (snubbed). Bedtime is 9pm. Once mistaken for Tyler Durden. In his words, movies are a terminal condition.

"If you see ol' Pop asleep behind the counter, just shout 'Yippi-Ki-Yay'."

Jorge

Fired, still on duty

Locked Pop in the theater once. Runs Jorge's Movie Book Club, a possible fight club, a protection racket, and an army of hypnotized infants. Fired in April 2025 and shows up anyway. Covers the projector when Pop is out. Drives the Cybertruck that people mistake for a dumpster. Cats are his kryptonite.

Ms. Sarah Stonemorgue

Critic, church bulletin

Gives five flame emojis (hellfire), zero stars to The Omen and Lilo & Stitch, and boycotts anything with flashbacks or talk shows. Cilantro is the devil's parsley. The theater keeps it at 62°F so she has something to complain about.

Ms. Emily

Staff, keto, occasionally dangerous

The pork skins are for her. If she is seen wandering the streets, keep your distance and call the Box Office Emergency Number.

Pastor Ron

Parking lot ministry

Hands out Holy Hard Seltzer after Eyes Wide Shut. Preached the "real" final reckoning one weekend, earning followers a free soda.

Ignacio Longbottom

Wealthy benefactor

The reason a six-seat theater stays open. Nobody asks too many questions.

The Raccoons

Sanitation, nursing (dropped out), tobacco

Two lick the floors clean. One rolls the best cigarettes in town, and an army of them guards the dumpster. One dropped out of nursing school and is the only medical staff on site. A raccoon family lives under seat F. A raccoon has also gotten to the chickens.

Mr. Pibb

Janitor

Cleans the floors, in a Cruella De Vil coat.

Mikey

Customer relations

Arrives with a baseball bat when complaints get serious.

The Social Media Intern

Deceased, posting

Crushed by a boulder during a Raiders of the Lost Ark reenactment in Nov 2024. Back as a ghost in time for Halloween 2026. Another summer intern was told to stop saying "24/7" and flexing.

Regulars and locals

  • Mirabelle JohnsonRegular. Thinks Rosemary's husband was a scumbag.
  • Mr. and Mrs. BigsbyMrs. Bigsby hit her husband with a seat arm during Dirty Dancing. Her granddaughter won a fortune in the daycare Thunderdome and they retired to Florida.
  • Billy Jack and FranOwn a full set of the Ant-Man cups for when company comes.
  • CarlSteals seats. Has been observed in the night vision footage. Staff are afraid of him.
  • Winston JenksPaul Giamatti superfan. Gave a talk before Big Fat Liar.
  • Jimmy GarrettFifth Element superfan. Must wear a flea collar with his Leeloo costume.
  • RayArrives at 10am daily since the Blu-Ray giveaway.
  • Old Man Thomas' chickenRepeat winner of the Leonardo DiCaprio look-alike contest.
  • Cammy GrinnellAge 6. Director of What Is Mommy Burning in the Shed.

  • Pyotr "The Hand" PopovHolds the exclusive piracy contract.
  • CharlesThe 4DX bucket-splasher, and someone's husband.

In memoriam

  • Ernie NultyGold Level supporter. Lost his heart at the movies a little too literally.
  • Edwin LangBroke into the zoo to dance with a wolf.
  • Hoser Kiss CinemaSister theater in central Manitoba.
  • Movie TownChief rival, and the same enemy as the ten-seat megaplex outside town. More seats, better concessions, no Ed Wood museum. A fire ravaged the other cinema across town while the staff had an AI-made alibi.

Floor plan, as reported

The Building

Opened in the 1960s. Load-bearing for the highway above. Six seats upstairs, with more building inside than the outside suggests. Smells of hot dogs, which people like.

  • The SinkholeIn the projection room. Where people are kicked, with a shout of "This is Clover Kiss."
  • The BasementLeg room is literal: unclaimed legs are given away after 90 days. Also boxes of the self-published book Clover Kiss Cinema: A Legacy, and Pop's stag films.
  • The AtticWeird things happen up there after closing.
  • The PortalIn the back, with an armoire added. Tickets are one way until entrants can reliably return.
  • The ElevatorAppeared after a cursed Shining screening. Full of blood.
  • The LobbyNot cleaned since 1982. The drinking fountain oozes something unidentified, and a mild hum of mold counts as ambiance.
  • The Movie MuseumAmerican Beauty bag replica, Se7en box, Ed Wood memorabilia.
  • The MarqueeMissing its asterisk since 1987. Reads whatever fits. Not working for weeks as of Oct 2026, so the bat signal starts each show.
  • The GroundBuilt on an ancient burial ground, a term the theater now replaces with "United States."
  • The ClimateA chilly 62°F by design, until the air conditioner breaks. Occasionally floods.
  • EquipmentLaserdisc (not a VCR), a Victrola, Betamax, one microwave, a Roomba some patrons ride, and a shadow puppeteer. Film runs 36mm, later 69mm.
  • The Out-of-order claw machineIt never worked. You weren't going to win.
  • The AlleyThe fire exits lead here. It is more of a hazard than the front door.
  • The Parking LotNo drive-in. Violators are towed. Home to Pastor Ron and Jorge's Cybertruck.

Organizations, schemes, rumors

Institutions

The Clover Kiss Foundation

Funds productions and Clover Kiss AI. Its human board went missing in June 2025 and was replaced by Welsh corgis who do not ask where the money goes. Their scheduling skills are poor (Air Bud, four times, by Monday).

Clover Kiss Productions

Announced a cheap thriller starring Vincent Price. Budget to follow once the title loan place opens.

The Incident

An unspecified event after which Rolling Stone will not return and collector popcorn buckets were retired.

The Disappearances

Siblings, kids, a board of directors. Few people ask why the theater has only six seats after the disappearances.

The Gentleman

The theater denies any connection.

The Concessions

Sentient once, briefly. Offers "buhtter," a secret third cola, "fresh" popcorn in legal quotes, and hot dogs for rent. The queso's origin is not to be discussed. Lawsuits are a minor black mark.
